Septic Repairs

At one or more times during the lifespan of a septic system, the functionality of the system may be reduced or may cease altogether.  In many instances, situations such as blockages, degraded or crushed system components, and even prolonged rainy periods can cause serious issues that may be remedied by septic service providers or by reducing the daily volume of wastewater and waiting a few days for the ground to dry. 

 

However, when a drainfield has truly reached the end of its usefulness and no longer functions adequately, SCC can evaluate another area on the property to delineate a new drainfield area, then prepare a Septic Repair Permit package.  As with other permit packages, the paperwork will need to be reviewed and approved by the local Health Department.
